Conveyancing Tariff Adjustments Announced

On 23 July 2025, the Law Society of South Africa (LSSA) published its updated Guideline of Fees for conveyancing-related transactions. These new tariffs will apply to all relevant instructions received from 1 August 2025 and reflect an upward fee adjustment for the transfer of immovable property and the registration of mortgage bonds.

What’s changing?

Here’s a simplified view of the new recommended fees:

R6 640.00 plus R1 060.00 per R50 000.00 or part thereof above that

R500 001 – R1 000 000

R15 120.00 for the first R500 000.00 plus R2 050.00 per R100 000.00 or part thereof above that

R1 000 001 – R5 000 000

R25 370.00 for the first R1 000 000.00 plus R2 050.00 per R200 000.00 or part thereof above that

Over R5 000 000

R66 370.00 for the first R5 000 000.00 plus R5 160.00 per R1 000 000.00 or part thereof above that
